Why does the payee show “MGP EVENFI FINTECH SA”?
Since October 2025, our payment partner, Mangopay, has implemented Verification of Payee (VOP). This new European standard significantly increases the security of bank transfers by checking in real time that the account holder matches the payee exactly.
What changes for you?
- Your IBAN remains personal and unique (no one else has your IBAN).
- Depending on when your Mangopay wallet was created, the account can be registered in two ways:
Wallet creation date | Payee to enter on the transfer | Example payee |
|---|---|---|
Before 1 October 2025 | Your full name | John Smith |
From 1 October 2025 onwards | MGP EVENFI FINTECH SA | MGP EVENFI FINTECH SA |
How do you know which payee to use?
On the deposit page, you will already see the correct payee automatically filled in.
Always use exactly the text shown in the “Payee” field when making the transfer.
Why “MGP EVENFI FINTECH SA”?
It is the legal name of the regulated Mangopay entity that technically manages segregated wallets. The funds remain exclusively yours, fully segregated and protected, and the IBAN is linked only to your profile.
Benefits of Verification of Payee (VOP)
- Dramatically reduces mistaken transfers to wrong accounts
- Prevents fraud and transfers to unauthorized third parties
- Gives you certainty that money reaches exactly your EvenFi wallet
If in doubt, always check the payee shown in your personal area before making a transfer.
